Hey I'm Chris
Hey I'm Chris
Founder of Kinesis, strength coach, and your low-key secret weapon to staying unbreakable (and not doing dumb stuff in the gym or getting injured during your race).
I’m not the loudest guy in the room. Raised in an Asian household where humility came before hype, I’ve always approached life with quiet focus and relentless curiosity. I grew up observing before acting, questioning before accepting, which maybe explains why I’ve never settled for cookie-cutter training programs or Instagram models rubbing baby oil on their abs...
Now? I get to turn that same thoughtful approach into a science-backed system to help athletes actually feel good in their bodies — for the long haul.

I Didn't Get a Typical Start
I Didn't Get a Typical Start
I didn’t get a typical start. I was born with underdeveloped lungs and spent my first two weeks on a machine. As a kid, my asthma was so bad I couldn’t even run across a classroom. I was told I’d have it for life.
But I don’t.
I became a collegiate swimmer, then an elite triathlete — and I’ve now been asthma-free for six years, no meds. I don’t waste a breath. I don’t take movement for granted. And I coach from that same place — one rooted in resilience, self-respect, and the belief that our limits aren’t fixed.

I live in Boulder with my amazing wife, Chelsea, and our son, Theo — equal parts joy, curiosity, and my daily dose of cardio and mobility. When I’m not coaching or training, I’m in the kitchen making homemade ramen, a slow braise, or a killer burger, with a glass of red in hand and a playlist that jumps from Mozart to Metallica. All while dreaming up the next way to make a positive impact in the world. I’m up with the sun, usually hitting the trail before most people brew their coffee. I believe in thoughtful reps, fueling with food you actually enjoy, and checking in — on your sleep, your body, and your headspace. Like one of my clients once said, “Life is an endurance sport.”
I didn’t build Kinesis to be flashy. I built it to be useful. Because real strength isn’t about lifting the most — it’s about showing up. For your sport, your people, and yourself.
Welcome to the team.
Let’s lift toward your aspirations.

A Quiet Life, Well-Lived
I didn’t grow up dreaming of coaching pro athletes. I was a quiet kid, more comfortable thinking deeply than shouting plays. But I fell in love with the science of movement — the way strength can unlock energy, resilience, and even personality. Eventually, I turned that obsession into a career. I became the Head of Strength & Conditioning at AxGen Sports Genetics, where I got to combine cutting-edge sports science with real-world results. My work’s been featured in Runner’s World, Bicycling, and Triathlete, and I’ve consulted with teams and brands like Whoop, Supersapiens, and Adidas to help athletes train smarter. I’ve worked with everyone from world-class athletes to recreational runners just trying to PR without blowing a hamstring. I’ve been part of the team behind Tinman Elite, helping pro runners get faster, stronger, and more resilient. What I am most proud of is helping multiple athletes reach and Olympic berth.
Now I’m bringing that same elite-level approach to you through the Kinesis App — so no matter where you’re starting, you can train with intention and unlock your full potential.
