I love to go country dancing! Learning new line dances is one of my favorite activities outside of running.
Why Kinesis:
I have a tendency to do too much in training. One of the main reasons I need a coach in running is to make sure I am training smart. Last year, I knew I needed to do the same with my strength training. I needed guidance that would help me make strength training something that added to my run training, not something that might take away. I also am always trying to find that 1% and I knew that working with Chris at Kinesis would help me to do strength training that was appropriate and tailored to different parts of the season and different goals throughout the year.
Your Kinesis Connection:
I emailed Chris to see if he had any openings to train another athlete! I didn’t realize until I started working at Kinesis that I knew several other runners that were working there too.
How Chris would describe their coaching relationship/sessions with each athlete:
There is an air of excitement and positivity looking towards what is possible and how we can continue to improve. Elise is always ready to go big and do more. My job is to bring things to a calculated and practical level of progressive overload and manage the strain applied. There is an unspoken commitment to excellence we share that establishes mutual trust.
